The Preparing Future Faculty Conference provides graduate students from all disciplines and stages of their programs with important information about preparing for their future careers. The one-day conference consists of both panel and roundtable sessions that address varied academic issues. Topics include navigating the job market, teaching and pedagogy, exploring professional opportunities inside and outside of academia, and more.
The annual conference is organized by a committee of graduate students, and by the PFF Fellow, who is appointed and funded by the Sociology department. The University Graduate School and other participating departments and programs fund the conference.
Panelists include professors from IUB and surrounding universities, and special care is made to invite panelists from a diverse array of disciplines and backgrounds.
